She's BACK!!

Whitney Houston that is!! I watched both parts of her interview with Oprah and I remembered why she was my idol when I was a little girl.

She was so real and honest, brutally honest at times, when she talked about these past years. I love that she got back up, you know. I mean she had gotten to a really low point and she could have stayed there. She could have totally fallen off, but she got back up again.

When she sang, I could hear the voice that inspired me as a little girl. It was in there and though it may need to continue to gain strength, it's still there.

I just got all giddy when she was performing. I remember hearing her for the first time when I was in the sixth grade. I remember being awestruck and excited and I was that way today! Crazy I know, but I do not care.

She's back....I'm going to get the cd tomorrow and I cannot wait until she goes on tour!

So I was just thinking today how so all over the place I am. What do I mean? Well I'm talking about my creative process. I can never seem to hone in on one that for a long period of time. One minute it's jewelry, the next it's painting, then to sewing, or sculpting.

Right now I'm in my art phase and I'm loving painting trees. You know those abstract ones. I know it's kind of a popular thing, and it's not that I'm following the band wagon. I just like them.

Anyway...my point is I know that I really need to make jewelry because of the holidays and such, but I really cannot focus. So any advice for your girl?

So I've had a few computer malfunctions, which is the reason for my long absence. But, alas, all is well.

Let's see, what has happened since I have been away. Oh yes, I made 4 sells on Etsy in one week! I know to many of you out there in the Etsy world this is pretty meager, but for me it is a really big deal! It motivated me not to throw in the towel...to keep going...keep creating and so hear I am.

I've been making new pieces for the fall. Trying my hand and some different type materials and styles. Like this adjustable ring, which I find adorable

oh there is so much more to come!!!!!!! Oh and I also will be having some of my art displayed in a gallery soon! Things are looking up. So sorry it's been so long...but I promise I will try not to let it happen again.
